How to enable Chime for DBVPalm

Overview
This details the installation process for the wav file for dbvpalm app.

Steps
After installing dbvpalm.prc, do the following:
1. Copy dbvpalm.wav to a folder “/Palm/Launcher/” in an SD card.
2. Insert SD card into your Palm.

Run DBVPalm and it should play the chime upon starting.

System Requirements
1. Palm OS based PDA with SD card slot.
2. For Sony Clie PDAs, a 3rd party add-in is required. See Notes below for detail.

Installation Notes

1. Download dbvhpc2k.zip to your PC.
2. Extract the corresponding cabfile for your HandheldPC as stated above.
3. Copy the cabfile to your HandheldPC through a CF card or ActiveSync.
4. Disconnect your HandheldPC from your desktop PC.If installing via CF card, insert CF card into HandheldPC.
5. On your HandheldPC itself, locate the cabfile and open/execute it to start the installer.

If you want to retain the cabfile after installation, make a copy of it before installing or modify it to be “Read-Only”.

MFC Win CE Redistributable for HPCPro

1. Allow DBVHPC to run on HPC2000 devices

Note

The current package 1.0.1 was built for HPC/Pro (wince2.11) devices and works with HPC2000 devices that has the wince2.11 mfc runtime redistributable libraries.

Users who are having problems with running DBVHPC on their HPC2000 devices, may download this file and copy the appropriate dlls for their device into \windows folder.
